SAILBOAT POINTE / CHESTNUT LANDING

2020 POOL OPENING AND OPERATING REGULATIONS

To be in compliance with government mandates and in compliance with the Director of Warren County Health Department, the following will occur in order to open the Sailboat Pointe/Chestnut Landing Pool facilities June 8, 2020. Please keep in mind these guidelines are constantly changing and MAY NOT be in place all summer. We will keep you posted if and when we can adjust our guidelines in accordance with the state health officials.

General Facility: To help comply with State Pool Opening and Use, Non-essential areas, such as the pool house and hot tub, will not be open. The pool house refrigerator and grill will not be available.  The main entrance will be the only entrance and exit location to and from the pool area. No entry will be allowed from the beach and dock areas adjacent to the pool. Please abide by social distancing rules in all areas of the pool and deck whenever possible. Face masks are encouraged in the common areas, but do not wear a mask in the pool.

Pool hours and Entry: The pool will be open 12:00 pm-8:00 pm Sunday through Saturday. A pool attendant will monitor entry to the pool and the showing of resident assigned key fobs will be required. The automated entry with key fobs has been deactivated. Key fobs were provided for all residents last year. If you are a new resident and do not have a fob, please contact Towne Properties to get an assigned key fob. Any residents who may have lost their key fob from last year need to contact Belinda McIntyre at Towne Properties (513-489-4059) to obtain a new one for a charge of $15.00.  The Key FOBs cannot be mailed.  Only Checks or Money Orders accepted.

Pool Capacity:  The pool capacity has been set at 40 people based upon state guideline calculations. Therefore only residents and immediate families (living in the same household) or caretakers such as nannies or grandparents of Sailboat Pointe and Chestnut Landing will be allowed use of the pool.  No guests will be allowed this year as social distancing mandates do not allow for full capacity. The pool cannot be reserved for any events. Please keep to small family only groups.

Pool Furniture: Please bring your own pool furniture for your use at the pool.  There will be Taped Marked Areas that allow for abiding by 6-foot social distancing guidelines. One family is allowed per plotted area. There will not be any lounge chairs provided. A limited amount of umbrella tables (without side chairs) will be available and located in Taped Marked Spacing on the pool deck.  These tables are to remain in designated spaced areas. Please sanitize before and after using any pool furniture.

Sanitation Guidelines:  We highly encourage all residents to bring their own sanitizing products to be used while using pool facilities. Pool restrooms (including all touch points), will be professionally cleaned by our pool company each morning.  Also, pool restrooms and  items such as, pool ladders, and umbrella cranks will be sanitized by either our pool company or pool attendants at a minimum of every two hours throughout the day.

What you bring to the pool needs to be brought back home with you.  Pool toys should be kept at a minimum (no rafts or larger floating devices are allowed due to pool spacing guidelines).   Any items left after pool closing will be disposed of each day.  Limited trash cans will be available at the pool exit area, so please take all that you bring back home.

Stay at home if you are sick or exhibit any Covid-19 symptoms for the safety of our community members. Please refer to and review the Covid-19 “Stop the Spread” and “Enter at own risk” signs at the pool. Also review all other posted signs.

Please be respectful of your neighbors during these unusual times. Be mindful of the length of time you have been at the pool to allow for others to use the pool during these times of reduced pool capacity. We trust that everyone will work together and be responsible to keep the area clean and safe. If rules are noticeably not followed, the board of health may further restrict or potentially force us to close the pool facilities.

Tennis/Pickleball Court: New tennis court gate lock combination is 6543.  Hours open are 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.  Please do not disclose combination to non-residents. Maintain State mandated guidelines of “six-foot or more social distancing between individuals in all areas”. No gathering in groups. Please follow tennis and pickle ball State of Ohio Covid-19 recommendations.

Respectfully,

Sailboat Pointe Board of Trustees
